Remember we told you Central Board of Film Certification objected against certain scenes in Shonali Bose’s Margarita, With a Straw that stars Kalki Koechlin? <br />Also, the censors wanted a shot showing the lead character peeing cut, and a 13-second kissing scene between Kalki and her lesbian lover removed from the movie that’s about a woman with cerebral palsy coming to terms with her queer sexuality. <br />Now, in a welcome move, Kalki Koechlin starrer has now got a clean chit from the Revising Committee. Yeah…the makers have come out with only a single cut! <br />Nonetheless, the director isn’t happy with the Revising Committee shortening a 16-second scene involving a straight couple having sex. Umm - too much ho raha hai! <br />All we wanna say is Margarita With A Straw has shown remarkable maturity and Shonali’s film is pretty much intact. Stay tuned!
